What is Six Sigma

Six Sigma methodologies are based on statistical analysis and data collection. Six Sigma focuses on using the collected data to problem solve and create systematic approaches to lowering deficiencies and variation. Because data is at the core of the Six Sigma methodology, statistical analysis and tools are commonly used. It is important to note that while the Six Sigma methodology is data driven at its core, rudimentary statistical tools and analysis are usually proficient.

Total Lean Solutions Six Sigma Program

“…the ultimate aspiration is zero defects; the threshold of excellence is Six Sigma quality.”  The Nature of Six Sigma Quality Mikel Harry, Motorola Inc.

Our clients can accelerate the rate of improvement in defect reduction and product or process reliability to enable a successful Lean Enterprise.  The principle of Six Sigma is total customer satisfaction, today and tomorrow with emphasis on variability (Mura) and eliminating it.

Six Sigma is a very powerful problem solving methodology that works synonymously inside of a Lean Enterprise.  Six Sigma is a methodology that is customer focused and data driven.  Through Six Sigma techniques, variation within a process or product becomes understood clearly and in a meaningful way.  With a performance target of 3.4 defects per million units, teams must identify the root cause for problems then test and implement resolutions that eliminate or minimize the impact of the particular problem.

Consistent application of the Six Sigma Process through champions and team work increases the rate of stability within a process or organization.  Six Sigma simply adds value to the customer and process while streamlining cost savings objectively.
